The Philips HeartStart HS1 is a lightweight (approximately 1.5 kg) semi-automatic defibrillator designed for easy use by anyone in a cardiac emergency. It guides the user step by step, with calm voice instructions and a built-in metronome, to apply the electrodes and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) effectively. Its SMART technology (SMART Analysis and SMART Biphasic) automatically adjusts shock intensity based on chest impedance and performs regular self-tests to ensure its immediate availability.
Adaptable to children via an optional pediatric cartridge, it can also be transformed into a training simulator with a suitable cartridge.
